It just makes more  business sense for IBM to own and sell their own NAS  products because they could own the Intellectual  Property. It may be that IBM was using the NetApp product line to learn how to sell into the departmental NAS  market niche, where NetApp is strongest.<\/p>\n<p>If IBM has decided to dominate the  departmental NAS space,   the  rumors of an IBM acquisition of Falconstor make a lot of sense.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/searchstorage.techtarget.com\/originalContent\/0,289142,sid5_gci1251022,00.html?track=NL-52&#038;ad=585102&amp;asrc=EM_NLN_1276964&amp;uid=835634\">Wall Street analysts said that IBM has been looking at this acquisition for some time but has been waiting for FalconStor to get real traction. &#8220;That time would seem to be now,&#8221;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Only time will tell.<\/p>\n<div class=\"blogger-post-footer\"><img width='1' height='1' src='https:\/\/blogger.googleusercontent.com\/tracker\/11084229-7630360071536016123?l=zerowait.blogspot.com' alt='' \/><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Has IBM tired of dancing with NetApp?
